Should the self-described 9/11 mastermind, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, be tried in Civilian Court? If so, should he be tried in New York City?

  1. The 9/11 attackers also hit the Pentagon in Washington. Therefore, a more appropriate site for a civilian trial, if that is what Obama wants, is Washington. Or is Washington afraid of what a trial in Washington might bring?

  2. They cant possible try him with a civilian trial. They broke every possible rule of human rights with this guy in Gitmo... it would be thrown out as a mistrial... It has to be done in a military tribunal so there is no due process of law.

  3. The trial should be held in the same jurisdiction where the initial crime was committed. After NYC, another trial could be held in D.C., and then another in Western Pennsylvania. This was not a military action, so I have trouble seeing why a military court should try the case. And coverage should be at least as extensive as was the O.J. Simpson trial.
