the sc is way off the mark, these videos promote violence and animal abuse, we're all gods creatures and he/she wouldn't one anyone one of us to be treated so badly, animals should have a bill of rights like humans, at least humans can tell when someones hurting them, animals can't say hey i,m being hurt by owner
The Supreme Court has diluted the influence of individuals and replaced it with the influence of money. The recent decision to allow unrestricted spending on campaigns and legislative marketing is the culmination of decades of effort to replace 1 person – 1 vote with monetary management of government and law.
This incredible display of ideology driven bias, lack of rational judgment and indifference to public welfare is a declaration by the SCOTUS that representative democracy will take a back seat to government by the highest bidder.
The gap between wealthy and poor that has increased dramatically in the past 40 years is now insured. The public, marginalized by the court, will only be able to mumble weakly against the amplified bullhorns of oligarch influence.
this is it? 4/28? a week ago? so what about the packy bomber? how you gonna spin that one? and hes a reg. dem! to boot!!
you had no problem slamming the teaparty gand day after day, charges of spitting, etc, all later proven false, yet you ignored fact and went for short term spin...not to f'n professional.
and now...youre gonna tell us that the packy was just confused? well...what about the other arab nut in buffalo that cut off his wifes head? you gonna give it equal time?
Well, common sense tells me that there will always be abhorrent behavior in this country. There are some things that can't be changed with federal and/or state legislation without infringing on the first amendment rights of the individual. What about pornography (which is equally disgusting)? The porn industry is still in full force, because of SCOTUS decisions. What's the difference? Yes, dog fights are cruel, and making videos of those are equally as despicable as porn videos. I've given a lot of thought into the basic common sense values that I was raise with and came to the same conclusion that no one has the right to *never* be offended to the point of infringing on the first amendment rights of other people. In other words, don't watch the dog fight videos. Simple! :-)
