  1. ABSOLUTELY. I almost lost 50% of my pension because my company felt they could exploit NON UNION white collar workers with a pension plan that the our follow UNION blue collar workers were able to reject and continue to reject. Finally, the company realize that they were headed for a major morale problem and come up a solution because of our UNION employees The union protected their workers from a disaster and a less than forthcoming upper management that tried to hide the severity of the cuts in the plan. UNIONS do work!!

  2. I think if it came down to a... "Need to feed the family" situation, I would. But other than that I am strongly against Unions. I know that they protect the rights of the employees. Too many times they are used to basically force the employer to comply with uneccesary pay increases and demands. This only causes more pressure on the company, causes losses for those who are on any kind of profit sharing, and is really not necesary.

I know this may sound harsh, but if your company does not treat you right, then leave them. If they mess with your pension, take what you have and leave.

In the days of child labor, and factories taking advantage of their employees I could see why they need it. The reason for the auto industry collapse is UNIONS. Same reason the Airline industry has so many issues....

  3. I am sick of everyone talking about this "misinformation that is being put out there". There are probably more citizens that have read the bill than Senators, etc.

Democrats should start listening. I voted for Obama and feel that he and his administration has done nothing but lie to us.
